So if you know me, you probably know that a hobby of mine is discovering new music through my favorite tv shows. After watching last night’s incredible finale to season four of Psych, I bought the song featured in the closing montage, “I Go to the Barn Because I Like the” by Band of Horses. Listen:
One of my very favorite shows is returning tonight, after what feels like a very long wait. That’s right, Psych is back will all new episodes on its new night. Here’s what USA has to say about tonight’s mid-season premiere:
Shawn tangles with the Army when he claims that a Private’s suicide was actually murder, and suspects that Juliet‘s former military/current mercenary brother is involved. John Cena and Rachael Leigh Cook guest-star in “You Can’t Handle This Episode“, premiering on Psych’s new night — this Wednesday — at 10/9C.
I have no doubt in my mind that this episode will live up to my high expectations. If you’re already a fan, do you have any special plans to celebrate the new episode? I will be enjoying a pineapple (and strawberry, peach, and banana) smoothie. If you’re not already a fan, than what are you waiting for? Tonight is as good of a time as any to immerse yourself in obscure ’80s references, crazy antics, and hidden pineapples.
Well, I am excited to announce that earlier this week, the first season of Scarecrow & Mrs. King did become available for pre-order on Amazon. It will be released in March and I will definitely be splurging on that!
Other good news this week is the report that Burn Notice will return on January 28 and Psych will return on January 29. As a side note, White Collar will move to Thursdays after Burn Notice for the second half of its season. [Oh my gosh, that means I will have six (6) shows on Thursday nights.] It should be noted that USA has yet to make an official announcement about these return dates, but they do seem likely.
Finally, two exciting return dates were announced yesterday. First, Lost will return on Tuesday, February 2. I am very pleased that it will be on Tuesdays. I had heard rumors that it might go to Thursday, which, if you just read the above paragraph, you realize would have been disastrous for me. However, Tuesday is terrific because it will come on right after NCIS.
The second announcement from yesterday is probably the one I am most excited about: Chuck will be returning January 10 with a two hour season premiere. So glad I don’t have to wait until March!

I make no secret out of the fact that Thursday is my favorite day of the week. I started to like Thursday while I was still in school. The last couple of semesters, I had light Fridays so Thursday felt like the start of the weekend in many ways.
Now Thursday is my favorite day because so many of my favorite tv shows fall on that night.
Plus, this week, Thursday also means a night off work for me so I get to watch three of my four Thursday shows tonight as they air.
This is what my Thursday night currently looks like:
Last week Sara and I went to breakfast at Wildberry. We both had pumpkin pancakes, which were absolutely delicious. As we waited for our food, Sara pulled out her camera because she spotted a pineapple on the wall behind me. I am used to looking for hidden pineapples when I watch Psych, but they don’t make many appearances in real life. It was truly a Psych kind of day because before we sat down, we saw someone with the Psych iPhone Cover.
So Psych has definitely become my #2 show. I am totally into it and I think this season has been terrific. One day Sara and I decided we needed to have pictures with a pineapple to prove our devotion. Watch Psych tonight at 10/9c on USA!
